Zone Conference Pics!

Whoever manages the mission FB page is so great about taking and putting up pictures of the missionaries at their Zone Conferences, etc. I love scanning the pictures looking for my boy! And I love how I can't help but smile and get the warm fuzzies when I find him! Here are a few from the North Zone Conference at the Ridgefield Stake Center Feb 23, 2018 . P-Day #9 - Transfers!

I'm almost done with my first transfer! We got the transfer email of where people are going to be  on Saturday  but I'm not moving and neither is Elder Hofmann, I imagine we have one more transfer together then he's probably going to move also  tomorrow is my two month mark! Our District stayed the same except one of the Long beach sisters missions ended so she goes home  tomorrow ! And her companion is staying and training. We did get a new Zone Leader and one of the Spanish Missionaries left from Astoria we see the Zl's and the Spanish Elders more than our actual district because they're closer and our building is in Astoria and Seaside and Long beach both have their own buildings, we are going down to Seaside today to a couple of beaches and the Nike Outlet so pictures to come! We got some really weird new investigators this week I can't remember if i told you about Dennis but we went to Subway for lunch and an old man came up to us and said "Hey

P-Day #8 - Hey All!

This week was crazy we went on exchanges twice! So on Wednesday i went with one of my Zone Leaders Elder Schut in Warrenton it was my first time leading the area which is weird but it was fine and Elder Schut and I had a good time meeting with our investigators and recent converts. Then i was with Elder Schut again! In Astoria though, in Astoria they have the ZL's but also the Spanish missionaries so the apartment is always a party! We had a good day with allot of service and even found a new investigator! For Astoria... We also had Stake Conference which was great President and Sister McAteer surprised us when they showed up and spoke! The topics were Missionary work and building Zion it was awesome! After the beginning of the week it actually got sunny there's no fog anymore! But since the cloud cover is gone it is colder in the morning but it's still in the 40's haha i love it here so much! Couple frogs from service  Beautiful drive

Crazy kid!

This is Nathan's new Facebook profile picture with this caption: " So tender is the mercy of our Lord just as this picture of me cuddling a chicken. 😍 " "

P Day #7

Yah i already lost track of what week I'm on but i have transfers marked on a calendar so it wont be too big of a surprise for me. Since I am still training it's like a 95% chance I'm gonna stay in Warrenton with Elder Hofmann for this next transfer at least but after that it is likely that he'll get transferred out and I'll be leading this area! I've already told President McAteer that I want to train early and often, not sure if he took me seriously but I love that guy and I know he loves his missionaries.  It has been very rainy and grey and foggy  on Tuesday  we went to Rainier, Oregon, i think, for a mid- transfer interview with President McAteer which went well but it was sunny for probably about 15 minutes so that was nice i haven't really seen the sun since though. On the way back we stopped at the Logger which is a diner and had huge burgers pictured below haha it was a 1 pound pattie.  This week we've really been focusing on finding sin

P-Day #6

I'm getting so confused on which week it is! I started my emails to Nathan by counting P-days, so that's what I'm going to go with! ;) P-Day # 6 (including MTC time) was Jan. 29, 2018. Here's Nathan's email and some pictures - heavy on the pics this week! From Elder Donaldson:   This week was crazy! So after PDay we had a zone conference on Tuesday which was awesome i got to see Elder Belnap and we got some good training. Then Wednesday we had a district meeting and then exchanges with the Zone Leaders Elders Schut and Berry but that got cut short because some other elders were fighting and they had to take care of that. Then Thursday we had a bunch of service which was awesome we helped at the senior center and at the food bank. Friday was our Mission Temple Day!!! So we drove like 2 hours to portland, i love the Portland Temple it's marble and gorgeous it's my home screen on my phone now! That was fun then Saturday i was on exchanges in Seaside which i
